What to do in Seattle?
We left out of Seattle on our seven day Alaska cruise. At the end of our cruise, The Disney Wonder docked back into Seattle.
After our cruise, we were glad we had some time to check out Seattle. We could not wait to go to Pike’s Place Market. While visiting the market, we ate an excellent lunch at Lowell’s Restaurant. It was a bright day, and we had a great view looking over Puget Sound from Lowell’s. We enjoyed watching the ships pass by. The food was outstanding. I have posted pictures of our favorite dishes from Lowell’s. I hope if you are in Seattle, you will try this wonderful restaurant with great views of the Sound. I am sure your family will enjoy it as much as the Roark family did.
We placed our order and found a great table by the window looking out over Puget Sound. We had an excellent meal and a very good time.
The food at Lowell’s was incredibly delicious. The crab in this Dungeness crab cocktail just melted in your mouth.
My son enjoyed the clam chowder pictured above. For an appetizer, we devoured these sumptuous crab cakes. The crab cakes were seasoned perfectly. The pickled cucumber and carrot salad that came on the side with the crab cakes was also very delicious.
My husband tried the Fish and Chips, which was hand breaded Alaskan Cod. The fish was very flaky on the inside and crunchy on the outside.
This was one of the best hamburgers I have ever eaten. It was called the Beecher’s Flagship Cheddar Burger. Beecher’s makes excellent cheese. They are located right across the street from Pike’s Place Market. The hamburger meat was seasoned great and very thick and juicy. The sauce was excellent, but the cheese was indescribably good. It was warm and ooey-gooey. The hamburger was huge and plenty enough to share.
Beecher’s not only making cheese, but they also have a menu which included items made with their excellent cheese. Hopefully, next time we will have a chance to eat at Beecher’s.
We were at Beecher’s just in time to see them making a batch of cheese.
