This Freddy’s Custard & SteakBurgers post was a couple of years old.
Freddy’s Custard & SteakBurgers is my family’s favorite fast food hamburger and custard stop. You can find a Freddy’s near you on their website.
I hesitated to write a review on a chain restaurant, especially a fast food chain restaurant, but it is one of our favorite fast food places. We found Freddy’s Custard & SteakBurgers while visiting Branson.
The fries are always crispy and crunchy. To kick up your fries, add some of Freddy’s seasoning. The food is great but the real reason I love Freddy’s so much is the frozen custard.
Their Steakburgers are the best fast food burger you will find, and the Patty Melts are the best patty melt I have ever had. It is full of onions and lots of creamy melted cheese.
Custard is much thicker and creamier than ice cream. The main ingredients in ice cream are milk and cream. The main ingredients in custard are milk and eggs. The result is much richer, creamier, and delicious! I am a true custard fan but, even more, a Freddy’s Turtle Sundae Fan.
The Custard Turtle Sundae has frozen vanilla custard with warm caramel sauce, hot fudge, and toasted buttery pecans. I could eat each ingredient all by itself as a great treat, but when you put them all together, the Sundae ROCKS! It is by far the BEST sundae ever. My oldest daughter Carly, really enjoys the PBC&B (peanut butter cup and banana) sundae. It is vanilla custard with chopped Reese’s cups and sliced bananas.
I recently found out that Freddy’s is not just in Branson. They have locations all over the United States. Look up their locations and find one closest to you. I hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
We love visiting the Branson area. I have written many posts and videos about Branson including restaurants, shows, attractions, and Silver Dollar City theme park which are all on my blog.

Branson Traffic tip:
Branson’s Color Traffic Routes: Traffic in Branson: Branson has a population of 6,500 but averages 7,000,000 visitors every year. 76 Country Boulevard (the Strip) can get very crowded, especially in the evenings and on holiday weekends. You want to make sure you pick up a Branson Traffic Map and study the different routes to avoid the congestion on 76. The map has a red, Blue and Green Route to help you get around. The color coded routes include the Red Route, the Blue Route, and a Yellow Route. These side roads get you out of traffic.
