If you are planning a trip Disney World, you have to read this review on Cape May Cafe Seafood Dinner and check out all my Disney World reviews.

Cape May Cafe Dinner is a seafood buffet.  The all you can eat seafood is expensive but worth the price. They have lots of non-seafood options on their buffet too.Cape May Cafe Seafood Dinner at Beach Club

If you like seafood, you will love Cape May Cafe Dinner buffet.  Cape May Cafe Dinner buffet is one of the more expensive places to eat while at Disney, but you are getting fresh seafood and lots of it.  To me, splurging on incredibly delicious seafood while on vacation is worth the extra cost.  Check with Disney for the price of the buffet for the time you will be visiting.  The price of this meal varies based on the time of year.

Do not go full and do not go if you do not have a lot of time to spend enjoying your meal.  You will want to take your sweet time to savor all this buffet has to offer.  It is always a very special treat for our family to get fresh seafood, especially crab legs.  We loaded up on them many, many times.  Their salmon and fried shrimp were also some of my favorites.

Seafood Selections – Steamed Mussels, Fried Clam Strips, Snow Crab Legs, Steamed Clams, Salmon, Fried Shrimp, Fried Calamari, Fried Cod Nuggets.  This menu will vary depending on which day of the week you eat at Cape May Cafe.  If you want a certain favorite seafood item, check with Disney Dinning before making your reservations.

Some of their non-seafood items include BBQ ribs, chicken, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, pasta, a carving station, mac & cheese, green beans, and even pizza.

Desserts include Pistachio Cheesecake,  Chocolate Cake with a Raspberry Sauce,  Strawberry Shortcake,  Boston Creme Cake,  Caramel Flan,  Cookes, Cupcakes, and Brownies.

While you are at The Beach Club, take a romantic stroll along the boardwalk after dinner.  You will need it.  If you just cannot walk after eating way too much, step outside and take in the fantastic views.  The views and walk on the boardwalk at night are almost as good as Cape May Cafe Seafood Buffet.

At Christmas time, be sure to stop by The Beach Club to see the amazing Gingerbread Carousel.  It is a beautiful full-size carousel, and it works too.  You can read the enormous amounts of ingredients it took to make the carousel.

Disney Dining Tip:

Book your reservations six months in advance.  You can also try to be there when Cape May Cafe first opens for dinner.  I have heard this is the best way to try to get in without reservations.

  1. The seafood paella was amazing here. Also, my favorite character restaurant was Garden Grill because I could see the bison while I ate

  2. Hi Diane!
I love Disney World. When we took the kids in 2013, I booked a character breakfast at the Tusker House. It was a wonderful buffet breakfast with a wide variety of food and lots of fun for Amanda with Mickey and Goofy and the others. It looks like you had a great time. This might be the first time that I’m visiting this blog of yours. I showed Amanda the Gingerbread Carousel. What an amazing creation! She wants to know if the children get to eat it. 🙂

    • Christina,

Thank you for stopping by Our American Travels. Thank you also for supporting not only Our American Travels but Recipes for our Daily Bread too. We have been to Disney World many times but this was our first time to go during the Christmas season. The Gingerbread Carousel was extremely amazing. I have no idea what they do with it after Christmas but I do not they bake a fresh one each year. We also went to The Grand Floridian to see the Life size Gingerbread House. They build it from scratch every year too. It was also unbelievable! They use the Gingerbread House in the main lobby of the hotel to sell gingerbread out of. We had a great time and I would highly recommend visiting during Christmas one year but it is the busiest time of the year and crowded. We only went to one park but visited all the hotels and had several character meals. YUM!
Thank you again for your support!

  3. I may very well have to look into this for us while we are down in Disney this summer and what can I say, Diane, but thank you so very much for sharing!! 🙂

  4. This is SO COOL! I would love to take the grand kids there – not to the restaurant, they are too little, I’ll take my sweetie there, but to see the carousel. What a wonderful review! I think you may need to set up a travel agency where you are the tour guide. With your personality and southern-know-how-to-do-it-right hospitality, you would be SO in demand! Thank you Diane for letting us see places through you we will probably never see. It’s so fun! Carrie, A Mother’s Shadow

    • Carrie,

We have been to Disney so many times even as much as I get lost I could can find my way around the parks. When we lived in the New Orleans area, schools were out a week in Feb. for Mardi Gras. YEAH! We would always go to Disney. It is the perfect time of the year. The weather is normally perfect in Feb and far less crowded.
Thanks so much for your support and stopping by Our American Travels.

I truly appreciate you stopping by Our American Travels. Like most people, we love Disney. This was the first time going during the Christmas season so we tried to do other things away from the crowds. It worked out and was a lot of fun.
