Billy Gail’s Breakfast in Branson

Billy Gail’s Breakfast in Branson

Billy Gail’s is always a favorite place to eat while in Branson.  We initially found Billy Gail’s by asking the local Branson residents where they eat.

We are now hooked on Billy Gail’s for at least one breakfast or lunch while in Branson.  If you are looking to eat where the locals eat, you must try Billy Gail’s.

I in no way got paid to talk about Billy Gail’s.  My family and I just actually enjoy the food at Billy Gail’s.

If you are looking for a great place for breakfast while visiting Branson, eat where the locals eat.  Billy Gail’s does not have a website, but people still find them. Word of mouth spreads fast when someone asks a local where to eat a good breakfast or lunch That is how we first heard about Billy Gail’s.  This past time we ate at Billy Gail’s we walked in with another local or a regular.  She was telling us how she had enjoyed the food at Billy Gail’s for many years and loved going there. We found out Billy Gail’s has been serving breakfast for 14 years.

Billy Gail’s Hours

This place is a must for breakfast but go early.  If you snooze, you will lose!  We were there by 7:30 a.m. and were seated quickly.  At 8:30 a.m. when we left, there was a line out the door with a wait of 30 minutes. Billy Gail’s is located near Silver Dollar City in an old gas station that was converted into a restaurant.

Billy Gail’s Address

It is not located on the “Strip”.  It is located on Hwy 265.  We passed this place many times without stopping until we got in on the secret.  Billy Gail’s address is 5291 Hwy 265 Branson, MO 65626. Billy Gail’s is the best breakfast place by 417 Magazine.  417 Magazine is a publication of all things to do in the 417 area code which includes Branson and Springfield, Missouri.

Grandma’s House

The inside of Billy Gail’s reminds me of grandma’s house; even the front screened door squeaks which makes it that much more like home. The waiting area is like sitting in a family room. I enjoy sitting and looking around at all the beautiful items everywhere.  The walls look like logs, and the room is full of bright, cheerful colors. She has antiques everywhere, literally from floor to ceiling. She even has grandma’s back porch, which is where we eat every time we visit.  I just love sitting out on the porch drinking my coffee and eating breakfast with my family while feeling the morning breeze.  Could life get any better?

I thought the best way to describe the breakfast was to show you.  I have included these videos of the food we enjoyed, but her menu has lots of other items.  Billy Gail’s is famous for their pancakes.  We had a small stack. The short stack is one pancake, but I hope you notice how enormous the pancake is before ordering a large stack.  My husband says that each pancake is about the size of a hubcap.  They hang about 1 to 2 inches over the edges all the way around the plate.

Billy Gail’s Breakfast Items

My oldest daughter had the blueberry pancakes which were amazing, loaded up with blueberries and just as big.  One of my 16-year-old boys had a regular short stack pancake.  He could not finish it!!  My other 16-year-old son had the Stuffed French Toast.  It has two pieces of an incredibly thick bread battered and grilled. Next, they stuffed it with egg, sausage, and cheese.  Casey is my bottomless pit eater, and even he had trouble finishing all the Stuffed French Toast.  Billy Gail’s gets the “Roark Award” for being the only breakfast restaurant that can fill my teenage boys up.

The Roark family enjoys Billy Gail’s Cafe for breakfast. The next time I visit Billy Gail’s, I think I will try the “French Cakes” or the steak and eggs.  I have heard scrumptious things about both of these items.

I am a morning person who truly enjoys a Big Down-Home Country Breakfast, but eating lunch at Billy Gail’s is definitely on our to-do list. Billy Gail’s is open from 7:00 am until 2:00 pm every day.
