Are you planning a trip to the beautiful beaches of Alabama Gulf Coast?
I currently live in Arkansas, but Alabama will always hold a special place in my heart. It is where I grew up, and it is where I met and married my husband. I have lived all over the south, but nothing is like visiting my home state and all that it has to offer.
I grew up in Mobile, AL. As a kid, we called it L.A., Lower Alabama.
Mobile is in the lower part of Alabama and only an hour away from the beautiful snow white beaches. They are truly some of the prettiest beaches in the World. You cannot get a finer whiter sand than the panhandle of Alabama or Florida. It is simply amazing!
I can sing the praises of the Alabama Gulf Coast all day. If you are planning a trip to the beach and need any help deciding where to stay, what to eat or what to do, be sure to check out some of my other favorite posts.

My Favorite Breakfast in Orange Beach, AL
Brick & Stone breakfast or brunch is a fantastic treat. This is by far one of the best experiences I have ever had for breakfast. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! First of all, the food is beyond good. In fact, it’s way beyond average. The first time we tried this restaurant, we loved it so much we went back before leaving to go home. These guys are doing breakfast right. Their personal attention to details and the fantastic food was hands down the best. The food is not your typical breakfast items. You will find kicked up beignets, kicked up oysters, eggs benedict, best Stuffed French Toast and so much more.
My husband’s favorite food at Brick & Stone
The Oysters Benedict and the Crab Benedict is beyond belief. My husband can never get enough of these dishes. He starts his meals with the Deviled on the Bayou, which is deviled eggs topped with fried oysters.
My Favorite Dish At Brick & Stone
I am crazy about breakfast so to pick something to eat tough for me. We started out with the stuffed beignets which were some of the best beignets I have ever had. This is saying a lot since we lived in the New Orleans area for seven years. I cannot recommend the Stuffed French Toast enough. It was simply fabulous. I was to have a glass of the berry compote to drink.
