Are you looking for a nicer seafood restaurant in Orange Beach? Maybe something besides fried seafood? If so, you will love Shipp’s Harbour Grill.
Orange Beach has so many delicious incredibly fresh seafood restaurants, but Shipp’s Harbour Grill is unique. Although you will find the typical fried seafood there, they offer so much more. They serve their fresh fish sauteed or grilled with amazing toppings like crab and shrimp with delicious sauces.
I had one of the best meals I had ever had at Shipp’s Harbour Grill. They have great hushpuppies coming from a hush puppy connoisseur. They were spiced up with some jalapenos the way I like them. Our family enjoyed the smoked tuna dip, fried oysters, fried shrimp, stone ground grits, lettuce wedge salad, grouper, fish tacos and my favorite the coconut grouper. Everyone seems to enjoy the appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
What entree did I drool over at Shipp’s?
I am still talking about the coconut grouper. I could eat this entree every day. Coconut Grouper included Fresh Grouper, Jumbo Lump Crab, and Spiced Coconut Butter. The grouper was so fresh, and the coconut crust with the coconut butter sauce was the best sauce I have ever had. The coconut grouper presentation was stunning with a beautiful large flower.
My husband enjoyed the Grouper
Jerry enjoyed the Grouper Pontchartrain. It included Fresh Grouper, Shrimp, Mushrooms, Onions, and a Lemon Butter Sauce.
Shipp’s Harbour Grill
Shipp’s has a very picturesque setting. It is a little hard to find. Shipp’s is off Canal Road east of the 161 junction. You can find Shipp’s Harbour Grill in the Sportsman Marina complex. It looks out on the marina and the bay with the Perdido Pass bridge in the background. It has stunning views.
The inside dining area offers a view of the harbour & marina. The restaurant is decorated in a shabby chic beached theme.
They are open for both lunch and dinner, but I would strongly suggest you getting a reservation for dinner.
