I had a short connection and expected to get lost, but the signs inside Main Terminal were easy to follow. The walking route, gate numbers, and transfer signs at Portland Jetport were clear enough that I did not need to stop and ask for directions.

Wheelchair assistance was requested in advance, but nobody was waiting when we arrived. We asked at two counters and still waited while boarding time got closer. Special assistance at Portland Jetport should not feel like a last-minute favor.

The departure board near the check-in hall showed one gate while the announcement mentioned another. People started moving, then stopped, then moved again. At Portland Jetport, the screens and announcements need to match faster during gate changes.

Our bags did not appear for more than an hour, and the screen at baggage claim kept showing the same carousel number. The frustrating part was that no airport employee seemed to know if the belt was delayed or if the bags had been moved. For a late arrival on September 29, 2026, that wait felt endless.

The restroom closest to our gate in Terminal 1 needed attention badly. Paper was on the floor, two stalls were out of service, and the sink area looked like it had not been checked in hours. It gave a poor impression of Portland Jetport.
