Complaint: Paid seats were not honoredAman from Phoenix, AZ | Price Seating Staff | Reviewed June 6, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.5

I paid extra so our family could sit together, then at the airport the seats had been split anyway. The agent kept pointing to the screen like that answered the problem, even though my receipt showed the seat purchase. On a long SEA-HNL flight, being moved away from a child after paying for seats is not a small inconvenience.

Complaint: Call center hold times made rebooking uselessDesiree from Toronto, ON | Customer Service | Reviewed September 3, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.3

The airport desk told us all rebooking had to be handled by phone. I called twice from the terminal, waited long enough to watch other passengers give up, and still did not reach anyone who could fix the trip. When travel plans are falling apart, being bounced between airport staff and the call center is not support.

Complaint: Name correction became a fee and a fightMichelle from Canton, CT | Customer Service Sales & Marketing | Reviewed February 9, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.8

A minor name correction should not have taken two calls, a fee, and repeating the same passport information again. The second agent eventually fixed it, but the first case note apparently was not visible. I spent more time proving the problem than actually solving it.

Complaint: Rebooking made us miss the trip anywayAlba from San Diego, CA | Customer Service Punctuality & Speed | Reviewed June 6, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.2

Our original flight was cancelled and Austrian Airlines automatically moved us onto a connection that looked impossible from the start. Staff at MEX kept saying the new 13:35 departure was the only option, but by the time we landed the onward gate was already closed. What bothered me most was being told to call support while standing in the airport with hotel nights already paid for.

Review: Helpful crew after a long connectionNina from Brooklyn, NY | Customer Service Staff | Reviewed September 3, 2026
★★★★★ 4.7

We came off a long international leg exhausted and still had one more flight to go. The crew on Austrian Airlines OS295 noticed several people were connecting onward and made a point of checking who needed gate information. It was not fancy service, just thoughtful and human, which mattered after a long day.

Review: Not perfect, but the crew communicated wellVictor from Austin, TX | Staff Punctuality & Speed | Reviewed February 9, 2026
★★★★☆ 3.9

The flight was not perfect and we did leave late, but the crew kept explaining what they knew. On Austrian Airlines OS332, they gave connection updates before landing and reminded passengers which bags would arrive at the regular claim. I can handle a delay much better when the communication is honest.

Complaint: No ownership after a missed connectionMark from Chicago, IL | Customer Service Punctuality & Speed | Reviewed June 6, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.2

Once the connection was missed, every person pointed somewhere else. Airport staff said to call, the call center said to ask the airport, and the app kept showing options that disappeared before I could select them. Nobody sounded responsible for getting us to the destination anymore.

Complaint: Gate updates came too lateMala from Jersey City, NJ | Punctuality & Speed Online & App | Reviewed September 3, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 2

The app changed first, the airport screen changed later, and the people at gate E6 still had no explanation. By the time someone finally said the 13:35 departure was delayed, several passengers had already missed the chance to adjust their connections. The delay was frustrating, but the silence made it worse.

Complaint: Staff treated simple questions like a problemLenny from Kansas City, MO | Staff Customer Service | Reviewed February 9, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.3

People at gate H9 were asking normal questions about vouchers, hotel options, and whether the delay would affect connections. The answers kept changing, and one staff member spoke to passengers like they were wasting time. It was the attitude, more than the delay, that made the experience feel so bad.

Review: Gate agent helped recover a forgotten phoneRenee from Denver, CO | Staff Customer Service | Reviewed June 6, 2026
★★★★★ 4.6

A phone was left with the wrong family member during boarding, and I expected that to become a mess. The gate agent at C7 stayed calm, coordinated with the people still outside the jet bridge, and got it back before the door closed. That one employee saved the trip from starting badly.

Complaint: Refund case kept restartingRobert from Orlando, FL | Refunds Customer Service | Reviewed September 3, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.3

I submitted the refund form after a cancelled Chicago O'Hare to Denver trip and received a case number right away. After that, nothing was simple. Each call felt like starting over, one agent could not see the previous notes, and the email replies never gave a real date for when the money would be returned.

Review: Check-in staff caught a document issue earlyStephen from Phoenix, AZ | Check-in Staff | Reviewed February 9, 2026
★★★★★ 4.5

The best part of this trip happened before boarding. A check-in employee at Atlanta noticed a document mismatch and corrected it before it became a gate problem. The process took extra minutes, but it saved me from a much bigger issue later in the day.

Complaint: Wheelchair request was visible but not readyChris from Seattle, WA | Special Assistance Customer Service | Reviewed June 6, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.5

The wheelchair request was on the reservation, but when we reached Dubai nobody seemed prepared for it. We waited, asked twice, and almost missed the boarding window. Special assistance should not depend on finding the right person at the last minute.

Review: One agent turned a bad morning aroundMichael from Canton, CT | Staff Check-in | Reviewed September 3, 2026
★★★★☆ 4.4

The check-in line at Madrid Barajas was long enough that I expected a disaster. A gate agent near H9 noticed the tight connection on OS628, moved the document check along, and explained exactly where to go next. It was the kind of calm help that makes a stressful airport morning feel manageable.

Complaint: Carry-on policy changed at the doorGeorge from Toronto, ON | Baggage Staff | Reviewed February 9, 2026
★★☆☆☆ 1.8

At gate C7, passengers with bags that had already passed the sizer were suddenly told to check them. The staff sounded annoyed when people asked whether the bags would come out planeside or at baggage claim. I would have packed differently if Austrian Airlines had made the rule clear before boarding started.

Complaint: Bag showed up days late and damagedTanya from San Diego, CA | Baggage Customer Service | Reviewed September 3, 2026
★☆☆☆☆ 1.3

We started a vacation with one suitcase missing after Austrian Airlines OS739. The desk at MIA took the claim and told us to buy basic clothes, then every phone call after that gave a different answer. The bag finally reached the hotel almost two days later with a broken zipper pull, and the reimbursement offer did not come close to what we spent.
