  1. I haven’t had fried chicken in quite sometime, but that chicken looked delicious to me. I am not sure we have any returns locally that cater to it other then KFC and they really are just fast food and not all that good. Going to have look into this now, because you made me hungry for this now! :)

  2. Well, I am still working on reverse engineering the Gus’s fried chicken recipe but I think I made some good headway last year. I am satisfied with the crust but need to get the heat level up. For me the secret is to make a slurry with buttermilk and cornstarch. One person who remained anonymous said “add just a little flour”.

    • Jay,

When you master Gus’s fried chicken recipe, please share it. Fried chicken is my favorite food in the world. I am originally from Alabama, but live in Arkansas. I grew up eating fried chicken and still LOVE it. I have written about several fried chicken restaurants.
I look forward to visiting your blog.
      Blessings,
      Diane Roark

  3. Yum! If I ever visit any of these cities I am looking this place up. My readers may find that surprising because I have a health and wellness blog, but my belief is that I eat healthy every day at home so I can splurge when I’m on vacation, visiting family, going out to dinner, etc! Visiting from SITS.
